HaHa!

Kobe Bryant's all around performance led the lakers to a victory over the winless Chicago Bulls. Kobe had 29 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. All Laker starters scored in double digits. Caron, once again had a great game. He's showing us consistensy, something that has always been questioned when it comes to his game. Lamar and Mihm both had a double double and Chucky Atkins continued to shhot well from 3 point country shooting 4/9 from the arc.

Luol Deng had 17 first quarter points for the bulls. He's probably gonna win ROY. What's up with Ben Gordon? He's a 3rd overall pick but he's playing like a scrub. Currently, Ben Gordon=Dajuan Wagner. 2 undersized 2's that couldnt cut it in the league. Eddy Curry is starting to gain weight, in a bad way. I like Tyson Chandler's game. He's a perfect fit to our team. I hope Mitch initiates a trade for this guy and if were not able to trade for him, then i hope we make a run for him in the off season. He has a nice attitude and since he played high school in california, then maybe we could work out a sign and trade for him.

Chris Mihm... He plays well at home but plays like the Mihm of Boston in road games. He needs consistensy and im confident that in time, he will be consistent. Luke Walton was our only spark from the bench. What's up K. Rush? Slava? Lamar needs to attack the hoop more often. The guy is a walking mismatch. What do you do when there's a mismatch? Abuse it. Lamar should do that. He's too quick for the average NBA pf and he's too tall for the average NBA sf.

Bottomline: Great team performance. Caron is coming into his own now. His jumpshot is swee-eet! Kobe had another selfish night with 7 assists(:sarcasm:). Bring it on Milwaukee!

Till then... Hope you had a good read.

Quick analysis

We beat the Clips and we got beat by the Suns. Those 2 games have 1 thing in common though... We played great.

Versus Clips
- What can i say? Best performance of the season, so far. Good communication on the court. King Laker, Kobe Bryant was absolutely superhuman that night. I could go on but it'll all mean one thing. We played great.

Versus Suns
- Kobe had a triple double and we blew a big lead... again. I should be pissed but im not. We played great against a very good team. A team that IMO will be a title contender this season. Steve Nash, is proving tht he's worth every penny that the Suns will be giving him. Caron Butler has a good game, he needs to get more shot attempts. Brian Grant, was vintage Brian Grant, playing agressive basketball. I cant wait to have Vlade back. Watching this game, i really felt that we still have a chance to be uber successful this season.

Well, that'll be all for now. Im currently very busy but i'll try and give my insights about the recent brawl at the palace. ESPN, overreacting.<

Too much Hate

Enough is enough... This is too much. the media(specifically ESPN) has been riding on the Anti-Kobe bandwagon ever since Shaq left.

Check this out...
Before the season started, the Haters(yes, that means you ESPN) were saying Kobe was gonna jack up 35 shots a game. Guess what? Kobe's averaging 9 shots per game. was Kobe praised? NO! They came up with bullshit. They criticized Kobe for shooting 38.9 percent while leaving out the fact that Kobe is playing hurt. Then there's this crap that Bill Simmons wrote. He criticizes Kobe for passing the ball. woOt? He claims to have watched Laker games this season, but his articles contradict his claim. Check this out, "I watched a few of their games this season -- there's no continuity, no ball movement, nothing. Everyone stands around and watches Kobe, then he makes it worse by overcompensating and trying to get others involved. It's like watching a couple trapped in a bad marriage trying to have a romantic dinner together. Either you have it or you don't.
^^LMAO! How biased can this idiot get?

Its absurd and moronic to criticize a guy with plantar faciitis on his shooting percentage.

What's funny here is that the media is criticizing and verbally attacking Kobe on a daily basis but they whine like bitches when Kobe refuses to talk to them or cuts the interview short.
What are they thinking? LOL at them.

ESPN has been the leader in worldwide Kobe bashing ever since Shaq was traded. They blame Kobe for Shaq's departure. Do they understand the meaning of the phrase "trade me?

This early in the season, Kobe has been proving the critics wrong, he has not been the selfish player that the media portray him to be, he has been very efficient. Yet, these people still refuse to give props where its due and instead goes on to find other ways to bash the guy while failing to mention his achievements and the fact that he has proven them wrong.

Bottomline: ESPN is crap. The only reason i visit their site is because im constantly on the lookout for those Anti-Kobe articles. I like every other human being love to have a good laugh, when i read their moronic and idiotic articles, i get a good laugh.

if i want the real scoop on things about the NBA, i go to Slam online, specifically, Lang Whitaker's links

I have more to say but unfortunately, i dont have the time to. Expect a coverage of our game against the Clippers.

Till then... Comments are greatly appreciated.

Deja vu?

We got a 84-79 win over the Rockets. cool eh? We also lead by 23 at one point in the 3rd quarter. Deja vu anyone? Its becoming a pattern for us. We get big leads, we lose them big leads. These guys better wake up fast. How many treys did the rockets make? We got killed on the perimeter, sad considering that Tracy Mcgrady wasnt even playing that night.

On a lighter note, our defemse did impress me. Hard nosed defense, thats what we eed to suceed. I dont know how effective our defense would've been if T-Mac played but i think we would've been fine. Kobe would've locked up T-Mac anyway. Chris Mihm, Brian Grant and Brian Cook all took turns in guarding Yao Ming. So far they did a decent job. Mihm needs more confidence, Brian Grant needs to shoot better from the perimeter and Brian Cook needs to play more defense(Good job last night against houston but he has to do it on a more consistent basis).

Lamar Odom. ahhh yes. This guy was uber impressive that night. 20 points, 13 boards and 5 assists.

Is it just me or is Chucky Atkins starting to prove that he deserves this starting job? Do we really need someone else? He can shoot the 3 really well, he can penetrate and obviously he can pass. He has been impressive, but he's still no D-Fish. I dont think he can hit those clutch shots(Not that we need him to anyway, we got Kobe)

Rudy T got a nice ovation from the crowd. Nice to see him getting the respect he deserves.

Kobe had a double double.. Too bad he didnt get double digits on assists. I'd love for kobe to average maybe 8 assists per game. That would be a big F*ck you to the haters out there.

Remember how i got worked up when i heard about Curry being available? Well right now, according to BSPN(B=bullshit someday, i'll explain my hatred for espn) Curry isnt going anywhere.

Orlando beats the crap out of us

Did you guys see how Orlando beat us? They couldnt miss that night... right? NO! We played awful D. Plain and simple. No excuses. We managed to score above 100 but Orlando still won.

What's my impression of the recent game against the Magic? He's back.
He had 27 points. zZzZZ... 12 rebounds. woOt?
Grant Hill is back. His 27 points didnt impress me but his 12 rebounds did. He was the key player in that game.

Bottomline: Kobe had a great all around effort. Almost a triple double for my main man but our team didnt get the job done on DEFENSE

Dwight Howard was given a welcome to the NBA by our very own Kobe Bryant.

OWNED!

Sorry for the late post. i was busy yesterday. In a few hours i'll be posting my comments on our win against Houston. A game that severely disappointed me.

Once again... Comments are greatly appreciated...

Baby Shaq available?

Check out this article.
It says here that Eddy Curry wants out of chicago. Eddy "Baby Shaq" Curry is a very risky project player that the Lakers may take a chance upon.

I hear a lot of Caron for Curry rumors... I got 2 words to say for this: Hell No!

Caron is a Paul Pierce with less accuracy on the perimeter. Losing Caron would ruin our run and gun team. Eddy Curry is a very promising player and since he's a Chicago Bull, a change of scenery really might change this guy. Remember Brad Miller and Ron artest? 2 roleplayers were traded for Jalen Rose. What heppened to Brad and Ron? They both became all-stars. What happened to Rose? He faded into obscurity.

I like Curry, i would love for him to join our team but not to the expense of Caron Butler. The chances of Chicago and Eddy Curry agreeing on a contract this summer is uber small.

Ive read that Luke Walton and a couple of picks for Curry is also a possibility. THis trade i'd say yes to anyday.

Eddy Curry, has lost a lot of weight this summer. If the lakers do trade for him and gives him a nice salary, is there a guarantee that he wouldnt go fat again? I dont know. Curry can dominate a game but he can also go fat again, and the last thing we need is an overpaid roleplayer.

Bottomline: I like Curry, i'd love for him to be on our team but please Mitch, dont go Kupchak and trade Caron for him. Kareem Ruch and Luke Walton and maybe even a draft pick for Curry and maybe another scrub(Frank Williams is a bomb waiting to explode) is something that would be logical and fair for both teams. I hope we would get a player like him but i also hope we wouldnt give to much for an unproven kid that came out of high school.

What do you think of my article? Please feel free to comment. Feel like sending hate mail? Please do send them at x11486@yahoo.com
I'll post your hate mail and answer them.

Till then.

Breaking down a rejected trade proposal.

Hi and Welcome. This blog aims to analyze and breakdown the performance of the new look Lakers.
Trade rumors will also be discussed.

I know that the season has already started. Our current win-loss card is 3-3. Next game will be against the Orlando Magic on friday November 12. Expect my first recap to be posted the next day.

To kick things off, lets discuss a rumor wherein the Lakers allegedly rejected a trade offer by Portland. Portland was rumored to have offered Ruber Patterson for Devean George.
Let's break this down.
- We were offered the self confessed "Kobe stopper". Patterson is light years ahead in terms of defense compared to George. Both players have mad hops. George is taller but Patterson is quicker. Unlike Patterson, George can hit the open 3 point shot. So now, its offense versus defense. Patterson wins hands down. The problem with Patterson is he's a Jailblazer. He has off-court problems, George has none of them. Now here's the main reason why the Lakers said no: Patterson has a badass contract.
Ruben Patterson
04-05
$5,899,400
05-06
$6,353,200
06-07
$6,807,000

He could be a good pickup but his contract would put us a step further in the ladder to salary cap hell. In my opinion, the lakers did a good thing by turning down the blazers offer. while it would help us out now, it would destroy our future and possibly our chemistry. Patterson has demanded a trade from Portland because he wants to be a starter. In a laker team stacked with power forwards, he'll be 3rd on our depth chart. That certainly wont make "The Nanny Stopper" happy and cause our team trouble.

Well, thats it for today. Expect a new entry a day afetr the next game or whenever something involving the Lakers come up.
Thanks for reading. Comments are certainly appreciated, im new to this and i would really appreciate your constructive criticism. Till next time.. :)
